The Shimano FH-MT401-B rear hub with Centerlock brake disc mount is very durable and reliable thanks to its high-quality labyrinth and contact sealings. In addition, cartridge bearings guarantee smooth rolling characteristics. The hub body made of aluminium ensures for better stiffness without raising the weight. A Micro Spline freewheel makes it possible to install Shimano 12-speed cassettes.
Micro Spline
The aluminium freewheel with 22 evenly spaced teeth keeps the cassette firmly under control for immediate response and also allows the use of a 10 teeth sprocket. In addition, the smaller and compared to the usual Hyperglide freewheel bodies more extensive gearing prevents rotor damage.
